There is a wood-burning fireplace, an outdoor grill (you must bring your own lighter and charcoal), a refrigerator, and a gas stove/cooking facility. There are plates, bowls, glasses, and cutlery. There are also frying pans and pots. There is no running water, so we will fill a water bottle with clean drinking water, which can be used for both cooking and washing dishes. Very central with only 5 minutes walk to Sandnes city center with several restaurants, cafes, pubs & good shopping. 15 min by car to Stavanger & Stavanger AirPort. Very good public transport!

With only a few meters to the fjord, an almost has the experience of sleeping in the water. All amenities are available either in the tiny house or in the basement of the shop Dirdalstraen Gardsutsalg nearby. Named Norway’s best farm shop in 2023 and 2025, the farm shop is a small attraction in its own right. Right next door you will find a sauna that can be booked with equally good views.

The Cowboy Cabin in Sandnes

Our very tiny Cowboy Cabin was built after repeated visits to the motel The Old West Inn, in Willits, CA (USA). The house was first planned as a playhouse, then it became more advanced and has served as a playhouse and guest house. Electricity and wifi are installed, cabin toilet and cabin sink (there is no shower). There is a fire pit, sundeck on the roof with sun from morning to evening, if the sun is shining. The cabin is tiny, but has many smart solutions for good well-being and coziness.
