Located in Japan’s largest and world-renowned wool textile production area, the entire space exudes a warm and cozy homey atmosphere. For this special bathroom renovation, we used herringbone-patterned woven tiles crafted with the exquisite Gifu Centennial Tile technique from Gifu Prefecture, Japan. These tiles create a dynamic three-dimensional effect as light and shadow play upon them. Mino-yaki ceramics have a history spanning approximately 1,300 years, and the tile industry has been producing these highly intricate tiles for over a century. We’ve also carefully upgraded the Dyson hairdryer, as well as the Dyson bladeless fan, the Kettle from a Japanese design brand, the brand-new Daikin air conditioner (both heating and cooling) in the living room, and the best shower head in Japan! The flooring is sourced from Asahi Wood, a century-old Japanese company, and is of the highest quality—three times more expensive than products made in China. We also carefully select the bedding.
