La Bodega (the cellar) de Casa del río is an independent one-bedroom apartment with private bathroom, kitchen and living room, built on a ground floor. The kitchen is equipped to cook your own simple meals (but not oven/microwave). The apartment is basic and minimalist, but it’s also very comfortable and has everything you need for a enjoyable and simple stay. The apartment has views to the valley, a private terrace with amazing views and an independent entrance. You can also use the common areas and the big garden. Please be aware that the apartments do not have washing machine, TV or microwave/oven. If you can’t live without those, this may not be the perfect place for your stay. Phone signal and wifi work perfectly and are quite reliable. Casa del río is the perfect way to scape the noise and experience first-hand living a simple and sustainable life in an Asturias village off the beaten track. The property is ideal for people who want to be away from the noise and crowds, as it is quite isolated and the village of Xio has no services at all. Closest services are a bar/restaurant/swimming pool 10min by car, and shops, supermarket, restaurants, pharmacy, petrol station, etc…20min by car.

Located just above the Llumeres cliff, with privileged and direct views of the Peñas Lighthouse, a place of great interest and demand in the Principality of Asturias. It consists of a spacious living room and fully equipped kitchen, two terraces (both with ocean views), a full bathroom, a relaxation area and a very large bedroom with an integrated bathtub and incredible ocean views. The house was built in 1896 by my great grandparents and was recently fully renovated and restored back to a modern gem. Zona tranquila, puedes aparcar en la calle a la puerta. Ubicada a 10 minutos de las estaciones de esquí, zona motera en verano, rutas de montaña y bici por la zona.

From the same house you can walk to the Lagoon (a magical place due to its history,which I will tell you if you decide to come). There are other routes that you should do either walking or by bike:Laguna de las Verdes,the Lake of Somiedo,the Fountains of the Sil, Ubiña environment,Lake Chao .
